We welcome Father Anthony Chandler to his parish ministry here in Meade County at St. Martin of Tours and St. John, the Apostle. Father Chandler was born to Stanley and Mildred Chandler in 1961 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a member of St. George Parish and attended St. George Grade School. After graduating from Bishop David High School he attended St. Meinrad Seminary in Indiana. Completing his theological studies at Catholic University of America, he was ordained to the priesthood at the Cathedral of the Assumption in Louisville, Kentucky in 1989.
After ordination his assignments included St. Martha’s Parish as Parochial Vicar, Holy Family Parish as Pastor and St. Bartholomew Parish as Pastor. Father Anthony Chandler comes to us after serving the Archdiocese of Military Services as Vice-Chancellor from 2005 to 2008. He holds a MA in Educational Administration from the University of Louisville and a MBA from the University of Maryland.
